BSAC Success at Grampian Athletics League Final
CONGRATULATIONS to our U13 Girls' and U17 Women's teams who both finished in 1st place at the GAL final in Inverness on Sunday 11th September. Well done to all athletes who competed in the final and to everyone who took part in GAL 2016 and got us to the finals. Well deserved victories to both teams and to team manager Heather Thomson too.
The aim of BSAC is to introduce athletic skills to youngsters, to develop those skills and to provide goals through the attainment of Club Standards and involvement in competition both locally and further afield.
The Club, comprising of girls and boys from the age of nine and upwards to seniors, competes regularly in the Petrofac League, and the Scottish Young Athletes League and Club and National championship events. In the winter months our members also compete in local and national cross country competitions.
Club members benefit from:
Improved fitness, balance, co-ordination, stamina & strength.
Gaining skills in running, jumping & throwing.
Competing & having fun.

A very big THANK YOU to everyone who helped to make this year's Championships a very successful event, a great few days and fantastic weather too. We now look forward to finding out the trophy winners at the AGM and Ceilidh on Saturday 1st October.

Annual Club Ceilidh and Awards

Following on from Club Champs, come along to our annual club gathering and fundraiser, win some great raffle prizes, and dance the night away! A very brief AGM precedes a great evening of family fun and socialising.

Silver Medal for Rees
Congratulations to Alisha Rees on silver at the European Youths in Georgia.
The Scottish sprinter ran 23.70 in the Tbilisi 200m final to finish second, after a PB in the semi-final of 23.57.
Great effort by the Banchory Stonehaven/Edinburgh AC athlete - well done to Alisha, her family and her coach.
