Track and Field Results April 2016
We’ve had some excellent performances already this season from Woman’s League, YDL, London Mini Marathon, Balmoral Road Races and Grampian Athletics League. Congratulations to Clare Stewart winning team Gold in London representing Scotland with pictures all over Scottish Athletics web site – fantastic! Izzy Thomson took 3rd place in the Balmoral Road Races Primary Schools Race. Cara Davie and Emma Swanson U13G along with Shannon Brown U15G have had an excellent start to the season with a collection of new PBs.
Even this early in the season we’ve had several club records broken. Craig Strachan U15B has so far taken some long standing records: 200m - stood for 23 years, 60m - stood for 21 years, he has also broken the records for the 60m and 80m Hurdles. Obviously his winter training has paid off. Well done Craig, keep it going. Emma Swanson added to the new records in the 1200m at the YDL, taking almost 3secs off Kelsey Stewart’s 2009 record. A great start for BSAC, keep it going. Run, Jump, Throw, Succeed. |

BSAC XC Champs 2016
Well done to all the runners who braved the Mulloch Woods circuits, on Saturday 12 March.
The going was damp and the pace fast and furious.

Great Edinburgh XCountry, 9 January 2016

Well done to Emma, Clare and Rosa who ran for the East District in the Inter District Championships, part of the Great Edinburgh XCountry Event. A good muddy run around Holyrood Park along with the many international runners taking part in the Great Edinburgh International XC fixture. All three crossed the finished line before Mo Farah, although admittedly he did start 1hr 27 mins after them. Great run girls!! |
