Inter District Championships, Holyrood Park, Edinburgh 13th January 2018
Three of our BSAC athletes qualified for the East District team and ran against the North and West teams at the Inter District Championships, part of the Great Edinburgh XC Event at Holyrood Park on Saturday 13 January.
Clare Stewart was 2nd in the U20W running 6km in the Junior/Senior Women's race. In the 4km U15G race Shannon Brown was 40th and Emma Swanson 9th overall and 5th East Team member, winning her a Gold Team Medal. The Inter District Champs are very competitive, fast races and to be selected to run at them is an achievement on it's own. The rest of the day included the Senior Women's & Men's International Races, with much excitement and hard fought, fast finishes. A highlight for our young runners was Laura Muir competing in the Team relay with victory for her and her fellow Team GB runners. Laura spent a good while after her race meeting and chatting to her many young fans with plenty of autographs and selfies on the way. Results Here |
